Glad to hear it! smile

I have an MK3 and have the issues you experience, so I am cautious to say that was the fix. Anyway, either way it's good now! smile

It is all very odd mate, BT even rang me after i asked them about it and i had to say sorry for wasting your time but since i made the day i made the initial contact its worked absolutely perfect.

I just wanted to post a final update on all of this.

The HomeHub 5A stopped slowing down around the time the 55Mbps upgrade got announced, perhaps BT pushed out a configuration change or something?

I have just recieved a new Type B which does not exhibit any of this behaviour either.

It seems the issues, at least for me, are resolved on both type A and type B.

Thread closed from my perspective. Cheers for all the help here.

Fingers crossed for you, FWIW mine has started needing a channel change every couple of days again after being fantastic for over a month.

A backup what?

A back up frying pan, what do you think it is a back up for right honest?

I'm not going to sell it knowing its got problems with the 5GHz side of things and the smart hub might turn out to be even worse for all i know.

New Hub, wireless speeds of 56kbps with AC wireless, 65 antennas and a router the size of Kenya. Hehe.

Features: dimmable front light.

Its been superb, only problem i had was when it rebooted at 10 days it seemed to hang on the boot so i had to power it off and cold start it but i guess they will address that in a future firmware release.
