Re: Bt Smart Hub 6A

[re: deleted] [link to this post]

Not too sure if I had an buggy Hub 4A when I was on ADSL2+ but when BT sent me a new Hub 4A I saved the config settings onto my PC.

Sadly it said it wasn't compatible with the new one, even though it had the same firmware and same version and revision.

So this might also be the same for the Smart Hub if going from one router to a new one, even if its the same one the exported setting might no import on the new one.

As for the time on the Smart Hub, that's due to it hasn't connected up to the time server yet, mine had that a few times.

The 14 day reboot your Smart Hub is doing is strange, mine was doing it once a month when I was using it last and that's it.

When I questioned the auto re-booting to BT I was told by their Tech Support section that its for stability reasons, as soon as it notices it taking a bit longer to do stuff it schedules as reboot.

Another BT guy told me it due to some config settings that get changed require a reboot for them to be used.

Now whether those are true or not I don't know.

Did you try a factory reset?

Same here. Just came off the phone to technical support since no one contacted me within 48 hours.

Immediate response was that they will send me a new Smart Hub FOC.

There must be a dodgy batch of these!
