Not sure when this page was written .....

I wonder if it was the 13 August, otherwise what's the point of the date in the following statement?
I got BT Infinity 1 quite recently. How do I get the speed upgrade?

If you ordered BT Infinity after 13 August 2017, we'll uplift your speed if your line can support it. If you ordered Infinity 1 before 13 August 2017 and your line can support the new speed, we'll automatically uplift you.

Yes RONSKI that would make sense as activations for orders from August 17th would be September 1st onwards as I think it is 2 week wait to go live and the article says Sept/Oct for all this upgrade happening.

No speed boost for me, from the tests I`ve done thus far and also not noticed any extra hardware neither on the fibre cabs round here. Doubt I would see much anyway as at the very beginning of FTTC I was on an up to 80mb product and never got more than 43 down ! So jumped on to the Infinity 1 product when I could. Anyway mute point now as moving to cable in 3 weeks.

If you only ever got 43meg, nothing would change. And the additional equipment mentioned is for a different product.

Have you checked your upload speed to see if that as increased?

If your download sync wasn't maxing the 'old' infinity 1 speed limit then even if your line was upgraded you wouldnt see an improvement in download sync/speed.

But.. the chances are your upload sync/speed would increase.

Demon => Freeserve => Pipex => Be => Sky => BT Infinity 2

Nope no change for me? Off to Virgin on their 200Mb service in 3 weeks so doesnt matter now.

You need to check your IP Profile, especially the upstream IP Profile.

I had that - it had been put in spam and I was dubious but after some checking decided it was legit.

My free boost was a doubling of the cloud storage allowance that I don't use...

Neither do i but now i have 1TB to play with it might come in handy

Stuck IP Profiles are very rare FTTC services

I'm not talking about stuck profiles. I'm saying it's the best way to determine if you've been upgraded from capped Infinity 1 to uncapped Infinity 1.
