If you remove the faceplate and plug the phone into the test socket (that the faceplate was plugged into), does the phone work then?

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk. Domains, site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - AAISP Home::1 80/20. 200GB. Sync 72313/12530Kbps @ 600m. BQMs - IPv4 & IPv6

Out of desperation plugged the original face plate back in. Working phone, wired and wireless, rebooted HH4 now:-

Not massively different, the DLM if it has ramped the download speed back to avoid high numbers of errors will take some weeks to recover.

If everything is back together and phone working then leave well alone now.

Maybe a slightly loose wire, or a dirty connector but for DLM to give back some speed it needs to see that things look better consistently.

Returned from holiday and no change:-

https://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest/15080839008...

tried to get IP Profile but must have done something wrong because got this message:-

"Your speed test has completed and the results are shown above, however during the test an error occurred while trying to retrieve additional details regarding your service. As a result we are unable to determine if the speed you received during the test is acceptable for your service. Please re-run the test if you require this additional information."

Test Result:_

1. Best Effort Test:

Download Speed : 12.42 Mbps

2. Upstream Test:

Upload Speed : 5.75 Mbps

Have rerun test but got same message?

"mouselike" gave this messsage:-

"Looks like BT refused to test, possibly because a speed test or BRAS check has been run recently which prevents this tool from working. Try again in a few hours.
Debug: Test already run recently"

Maybe try later this evening?

But looks like I ain't going to get much improvement soon; Virgin maybe sooner rather than later!

Any advice please?
