Re: BT 4G Assure - use sim with 3rd party router

[re: deleted] [link to this post]

Apologies for not replying to posts sooner but huge thanks for all the help and advice given.

I've seen that BT Business also offer a fibre option with a 4g unlimited data sim, so perhaps I could get an unlocked dongle and put the sim in there and then into the draytek.

Will have a think of all options, thanks again smile

I believe the point of the BT Business product is that if the Hub loses the landline service it switches automatically to the 4G.

I think the OP was referring to a different BT Business package which bundles in a 4G regular mobile sim with unlimited data. I imagine he could only use it in a third party router if BTB allow tethering on their regular 4G sims. I suspect they do as there's no 4G Assure Dongle included on that particular package:

See the Subect. 4G Assure.

I don't know where you screenshot came from, but it is clearly an FTTP product, from the speed ranges down and up being fixed.

Yes I'm well aware the subject is 4G Assure. However the OP's latest post - to which you replied to - stated

In reply to a post by deanobaj:

Which means he is referring to a BTB unlimited data sim bundled with either 80/20 FTTC or FTTP. These packages do NOT come with a 4G assure dongle. The image I posted earlier was a screenshot from BTB's website for a 80/20 FTTP line bundled with an unlimited data sim, the same bundle is also available on a 80/20 FTTC line:

Is that second one from some referral site, as I cannot find either on the BT Business website?

Rather than screenshots, links to where these magic screens appear might be more useful, together with links to the referral site/page if appropriate.

It's also worth our pointing out to the OP that BT Business prices are ex Vat. A rather important detail that is often missed.

No magic screens, voodoo or referral websites involved. Simply go to:

https://business.bt.com/products/broadband-and-inter...

And enter the postcode/property number for any FTTC or FTTP enabled address to get the deals displayed.

Thank you. That works.

Which means the OP also now knows where they came from smile.

Night-night!
