Speed Advice

Hi,

this is the trouble shooting page at my Mother In Laws, she gets circa 20Mb down and 6Mb up and has no issues with speed or connection reliability herself.

She is on Fibre 1 and I was expecting Circa 40 down and 20 ? up. The stats look odd to me, comments please....

By the way, on her account they seem aware of these poor speeds.

DLM has capped the downstream at 25Mb down.
It would probably get around 31Mb down without the cap.

The upstream is doing as good as it can with the current line conditions.

First of all try to get the DLM banding removed, it may not be a huge improvement but every little helps.smile

I think having the line tested, to see if there’s a clear explanation of why DLM banded the line might be a good course of action.

Is she using the master socket?

Does she have a pre filtered master socket or use a filter? If she uses a filter is every device in the home filtered eg sky box, home alarm, telephone?

What does the setup look like?
