If you use DV then you have no option other than using the SH2 as the router. The DV cordless handsets are DECT rather than WiFi, if the SH2 has options to disable the WIFi and DECT independently then it should be possible to disable only the WiFi. However, the user interface may lump all of the radios into one category in which case you can't.
