I have been connected to Talktalk for 15 months using an eTEC router, however since Wednesday evening 14/6, I have been unable to get a connection using the router, as it does not appear to be able to get an IP address. I can get a connection using the Sagem USB modem although that has been dodgy at times, but not with the router. Router connection window indicates that it is apparently trying to connect but with no luck. Have reset-up router, changed cables and microfilters and done a system restore to before the problem but no joy. Have also spent a fortune waiting on the "customer service" line, eventually got through but no help there either, particularly as I can get connected with the modem so they can't refer me to second line support as "We don't offer support for routers and you're connected, so what's the problem?"
Any constructive suggestions welcome. I have sent an e-mail to the support department of eTEC as well before anybody suggests that - that was TT's only solution.
