Setting BT Voyager 2110 MTU

[link to this post]

A friend has recently got broadband and was supplied with the BT Voyager 2110 router.
The Internet Configuration page reports that the router MTU is set at 1400.
His PC is set to 1500.
How can he change the router MTU?
We have hunted through the configuration pages but failed to find it.

Thanks

You need to go to Advanced (admin and admin are default user name and password)/Configuration/Local Network/IP Address page (should open on that page) and you can change the MTU at the bottom of the page.

You would be better off changing the MTU on the PC first - go to dslreports/tweaks and run the Tweaks Test (choose pppoA on the Connection choice after you have run the test). You can then link from that to a small program called DrTCP which will allow you to set the MTU for your PC

settings for RWIN should be in the range 50,000 to 70,000 if you are on adslmax(the tweaks test will give you a recommendation)
and most users find that setting the MTU to either 1480 or 1430 gives best results.

After you have done all this, just set the 2110 to the same setting
