Speedtouch 585 firmware update question

Can you go back to the previous version and i see a new 6.2 version where are the versions after 6.1.4.3 found.

What i meant to say is that if i update the firmware in the future and it performs less well can i go back to the previous version,and would doing a hardware reset take it back to the version it came with.

I have done a retrograde firmware update on mine in the past. A factory reset does not revert it to the original firmware.

you have to run the firmware flash tool again and flash it downwards, I think its harder then usual going down from 6.2 but still possible.

doing a hardware reset (assume you mean the force defaults button) will simply reset the default settings for the firmware version ie. default passwords etc.

Thanks for reply, i am using version 6.1.4.3 and on the support page its the latest version so where does the version 6.2 come from.

sorry I thought you said 6.2 my mistake, if you downgrading then it should be possible, do the same as when you upgrade but just use the older firmware.

6.2 has no uk specific version yet which is why its not on the uk speedtouch site.

I have seen some threads on the speedtouch router in which versions higher than 6.1.4.3 are being used,like 6.1.4.6, 6.1.4.7, 6.1.4.9, are these for other versions of the speedtouch router.

yep, no idea on the 6.1.4.9, 6.1.4.7 is 546v5 6.1.4.6 i think is 546v6/516v6 and 6.1.4.3 is 585v6
