Re: Which ST585

I once bought some mapping software e-bay listed as suitable for PalmOS and WIndows Mobile PDAs. My specific PalmOS device was listed as compatible. What I received was only suitable for Windows Mobile PDAs. I complained and the e-bay vendor refused to compensate me because I should have known it wasn't suitable for PalmOS devices! I only got my money back by claiming through PayPal.

So you got your money back. Why do you think PayPal refunded it? Dare I suggest it was due to a false description. I am suggesting that the poster explicitly asks, the responsibility then lies with the seller.

I got my money back because I paid by PayPal and the vendor didn't respond to the PayPal complaints procedure. If I had paid by any other method I might have been left in the lurch. There are a LOT of shady characters on e-bay - it is too easy to take money and run. I wouldn't trust any private seller who seems to be running a business with the volumes sold.

I agree that the vendor should ask. In practice I don't think it counts for much with private sellers on e-bay.

edited for typo.

yes is the same router as the new V6. The only difference appears to be some people report the 585v6 used to come with a stand I didnt get a stand but that doesnt bother me at all.
