Hi
I have a DG834N which is connected to my PC and tto an XBOX 360 by ethernet cable, and I also run 2 laptops, a DS Lite and an iPhone from the wireless.
I have a problem where all of a sudden I will have no internet connection - I can login to the router fine and it says it has an internet connection but on my PC the network thing in the systray says Local Only and the little globe is missing.
This happens pretty much daily - it could be while I'm actually working on the laptop or just be gone when I come to login.
I can resolve it every time by rebooting the router - at which point everything has an internet connection again.
It's almost like the router has the connection but stops passing it on to the devices for some reason.
My ISP is F2S and there is a variety of OS's affected - XP, Vista, iPhone, Nintendo etc. - so it seems to be at the TCP layer it's happening.
I downloaded routerstats and ran it on the router and saw the line DB figure vary between 10 and 20 with occasional large spikes over 30 and off the scale.
I never had a problem with the connection until a few weeks ago and I can't remember changing anything around that time. I have upgraded the router to the latest firmware but it still does it.
Can anyone advise what might be going on as it's very frustrating!
Thanks
