TG585v7 - setting up WDS

Hello,

I have just had a TG585v& delivered by O2 and would like to configure it to use WDS so I can extend the range within my house. I have a Thomson speedtouch 180 which also supports WDS. Can anyone advise how this should be done. Do I need the same IP address for both boxes, do I need to set SSID the same and any other hints gratefully received.

I also have a Netgear DG834N which I could use if no one knows about Thomson to Thomson?.....

General WDS rules :-

you cannot use the same IP.

you must use the same channel

you can use different SSIDs

you need to tell each device the MAC of the other(s)

encryption may not be supported so start with none
