Router to replace Speedtouch 585v6

I am looking to get another router to replace the above so that I can tweak the noise margin without needing to run an older firmware.
Would the Netgear DG834G v4 be a good option or are there other current model wireless routers which would do the same thing.
Alternatively, as I am no rush, would it be worth waiting for the v5 model.

a good place to start is goto the dmt website and see the routers it lists as supported, I know some netgears have the same chipset as the speedtouch and support snr tweaking but not sure if the V4 is one of them.

I started there but didn't find any current models available in the UK.
The Netgear DG834G v4 does support SNR tweaking but isn't included in the DMT list but can be done using Routerstats 4.1.
I suspect that DMT development has ground to a halt.

I've used DMT 8.07 on my Netgear DG834Gv4, and it worked ok.

I'm in the same situation. I'm trying to pickup a Sky branded DG834GT off eBay on the cheap to flash with the DGTeam firmware. However, getting one at the right price is proving elusive .

Just treat the DG834v4 as a DG834GT as regards DMT.
