Router wanted, multiple interfaces or vlans

Hi,

i wonder if anyone knows of a router that will solve my problem.

I have an allocation of public ips that i want to use for some world facing servers, and a voip phones but i also have private pcs on the same network.

Does anyone know of a router that can issue dhcp ip addresses from two different pools? Id like to be able to set port 1 to public and ports 2-4 to private or something similar.

Or, if the router can do vlans then i could do it that way.

Ideally i dont want to have to create static routes, id like to just be able to plug in devices,

the speedtouch 585 and 546 can have multiple dhcp pools, I dont know of any others.

i happen to have a 585 here so thats good news

looks like i can create multiple dhcp pools, but i cant assign ethernet ports to separate dhcp pools

googling gives me the info that this router does support vlans and each ethernet port is a separate interface so its possible...

im playing with the cli but i cant find a decent guide on how to do what i want..

does anyone have a copy of the cli guide for 7.4.2.6?

Are you using Speedtouch 585 v6 or the Thomson (Speedtouch) TG585 v7??

I have the CLI .pdf file (2800 KB)for the TG585 v7 that states on the front cover

I am using firmware 7.4.4.7 but was using 7.4.2.6 with the TG585 v7

I have also got the Speedtouch 585 v6 CLI .pdf file (5600KB)
