Fiber Router question

Hello Everyone

With regards to the TG582 Which from what I have read is not that great . Can I ask what is the BT home hub like The one BT supply's for their Fibre the 40/2 package not infinity only my friend had two delivered when he signed up with them so its going spare.
I just wanted to know if its OK is it better than the TG582 and can it be unlocked/Used on say Plus.net Fibre?

Didnt think they where unlock able.

I thouight I read somewhere recently that they were now unlocked, I might be wrong.

Easiest way if you have the username/password is to connect it up, you will soon find out.
