Example #2

Take a look at the results from 3 consecutive days of testing. Sample period was 13hrs, router was tweaked and rebooted before each session.

Thats really impressive but a little help please.
I am trying to set up my speedtouch 546 to get data from ADSLMonitor but I can't find out which commands to put into the telnet interface.
I have tried using the Speedtouch CLI Reference Guide but I'm afraid I'm none the wiser

Put ADSL Monitor into a folder, then drop these 2 files into it:

configuration.cfg
dataconfiguration.cfg

This config is setup for the default user/pass (Administrator/blank) and a 30 sec sampling interval (don't raise this, only lower it, bug in the program). You might still have to do some cfg editing as some firmware versions have a different CLI prompt format.

Attenuation is 24 db with a steady 8128 sync for 25 days now (after rebooting the router). Why I only get a max download of 6.5 meg is anyones guess, I suspect a stuck BRAS, but who knows.

Be interesting to see what sort of performance you get out of your 510.

Try decreasing the interval from 30000 to 5000... the program is a bit flakey, sometimes you have to restart it.

Thanks,
I thought I had editted the post earlier.
Not really bothered about the graph as using Excel to graph the csv fole is much more useful.

Yup the CSV output is very handy for Excel I'd like to produce more flashy looking graphs tho, Excel seems a bit primitive in that department...
