ADSL Wireless Router suggestions?

[link to this post]

Hi, I've looked all over the place but all the reviews seem to be a bit out of date or they dont take into account adsl modems with the routers.

I've currently got a 3com officeconnect adsl wifi router which locks up when im hammering it with bittorrent, so I am looking for a good replacement that can cope with lots of connections.

Cost:Ideally under

Hi there,

What speed/service are you on at the moment? MaxDSL, LLU? (IE Bulldog, UKonline, Be*)?

If you can, post your current stats here so people have an idea of what your line is like - Some routers tolerate noisy lines better than others, for instance..

Off the bat, tho.. If you want a decent, all-around router, I'd go for either a speedtouch, a netgear or a belkin - AFAIK, the netgears (DG834G and GT) are the only ones of those that have detatchable aerials tho..

After a powercut cut short the life of my 3Com 3CRWDR100A-72 and a hideous experience with Netgear's technical support I acquired a BT Voyager 2110 - easily the best experience of the three. The one thing missing from the Voyager is any sort of line status logging - actual line status is there, but a historical log isn't.

Having tried Belkin kit of various sorts in the past I wouldn't allow it through my door now - too much like a lottery. Others of course have a different outlook.

Speedtouch routers I've used have all been good performers but quirky behaviour which depending on the circumstance is either irritating or easily ignored.
