Which wireless router from Argos?

[link to this post]

Hey all,
Am going into town after work and am wanting to get a wireless ADSL router.

It will connect 1 PC and a Xbox 360 (Am aware I will need wireless dongle for this) and maybe a laptop in the future.

Crow flies distance, the PC will be about 20 feet from the actual router (Master socket in kitchen at front of house, this room upstairs at back of house). I haven't got a particularly good line, around 45-46 attenuation and 10-14ish SNR.

I use BitTorrent and Limewire so it needs to be easily configurable for them, not worried about special fancy security features etc

Also I will need a USB dongle or PCI card, what is easier for when you format, has the best single, quickest etc

Am on Nildram ADSL Max.

Would ideally like to spend no more than

Blimey out of that ridiculously priced bunch I would have

a. Netgear DG834G - gets good torrent reviews and so long as you put it vertically (comes with a stand) are pretty reliable

b. Belkin. Can't see what model it is and Belkin stuff tends to be pretty fussy about which wireless endpoints it uses.

c. Linksys WAG54GS - This has the best wireless range of the lot and currently sits at our other place and seems to work pretty well.

Hope this helps. I might even swap b and c around, but if wireless range is key, get the Linksys.

Or, if you want to save a bit of money, and shop online: -

Speedtouch 585 - Can give better ADSL speeds than a Netgear (especially on longer lines), and can have the noise margin tweak (up to get more stable, down to get more speed). Although the wireless range isn't so good (compared to the Netgear - which is pretty good, and can have external antennae).

Giving UKFSN/Entanet a try
DL Sync 4600+ (now 2464 and screwed up by pointless 15db SNR target)
UL Sync 448
