The DS & US maximum rates look rather interesting to me, I thought on a MAX line I would see 8128000 / 832000 as max rates ??

If it's a business package based on IPStream Max Premium then it would be 832k, if it's based on IPStream Max then it's 448k upstream.

You appear to have bags of noise margin but also interleaving switched on - so the only reasonable assumption is that your line is subject to periodic interference which has triggered the BT equipment to introduce interleaving and raise the margin.....

Actually thats not a good assumption - some ISPs now set all new customers up with interleaving on by defaut, regardless. A call to them should be able to remove it.

IIRC you can change this setting via telnet adsl maxdnrate but you don't say which router you have.

Its a 2600g/+

Maxdnrate is only available on the 2800 series, and wouldn't help anyway.

Cheers guys, it was more a question of how, if it's an 8128 DS / 448 US is my Vigor 2600+ saying that the max rate is +11mb DS & +1Mb US !!

Of course I wont ever get that, it just looked odd that it doesn't show 8128 sync (7616 max) and 448 (832 max).

My line is now fine, I'm getting 691KB during a Win XP SP2 download, so am well chuffed now !!
