My isp says it's my router that is the problem, speedtouch say it is an ADSL or PC problem. I need help!
I have a speedtouch 716wl router and am on MaxDsl. I get frequent loss of sync with the exchange but the connection to the internet shows as being up throughout. My isp says their records and tests show I have a solid connection throughout. The router definitely loses sync as the down-stream rate changes and I get thrown out of my online game.
I contacted speedtouch and they provided me with the latest beta firmware 6.2. Although the number of resyncs have reduced they are still such as to prevent online gaming.
The router is just about to come out of its warranty period. I have returned it to my reseller under the warranty. They have performed tests for 2 days (no idea what tests) and say there is no fault on it and are returning it to me.
I have access to a Linksys WAG354G and have found it does not lose sync with the exchange. This would seem to suggest the problem is with the speedtouch router.
Does anyone have this router, and if so, are they experiencing similar problems?
Any advice as to what I should do next?
