Belkin 7633 RIP ???

Woke up tuesday morning to find my internet has disconnected at 6am and none of the home networking through the router would work. Has happened before although rarely so i attempted a restart after which only the green power light would come on, the router would not assign an ip via DHCP to the pc or allow any wired/wireless connection to its main status pages. So I left it completely unplugged from the mains until I got home from work that night, plugged it in and exactly the same response as above, even tried using the pin hole reset button on the rear with no luck.

Is the router dead or is there any trick out there to get it going again. Like I said above it will power on but thats about it.......

Not sure of that exact model, but you can restore the unit back to how it was out of the box by holding down the pin in the reset hole for about 10 seconds ... although some say 5 seconds, some say 30!

there is a lifetime guarantee with belkin products, phone them up,(the number should be in with all the paperwork that came with the router) and they should offer you a replacement. my son has just had a router replaced after 4 years.

Do what ceebee2232 says, I had exactly the same prob as yours, and no matter how many hardware resets I did, it didnt come back to life. I had the original Belkin 7633 v1001 with firmware 1.00.11. When they send you the replacement, like they did me, you will probably get v1004., firmware 1.0017. So if your a tweaker you will only be able to access it via axessh

yeah its already in the post to belkin, just hope the replacement is not a v1004.....
