Speedtouch 6.2.G Firmware

[link to this post]

Thomson's Partner site is now listing version 6.2.G firmware for the relevant routers.

Link to 780(WL) listing:
http://www.thomsontelecompartner.com/dsl-modems-gateways/products/product-detail.php?id=125

Link to 585v6 listing:
http://www.thomsontelecompartner.com/dsl-modems-gateways/products/product-detail.php?id=104

Does anybody have any links to download this new version??

I've found a link to download the new firmware here:
http://www.speedtouchforum.de/viewtopic.php?t=1089

I can't seem to get my 780WL to upgrade. I run the upgrade program and point it at the right firmware, it then resets the router to upgrade mode (power light goes orange and ethernet stays green). The router stays like this for a minute or so before it finally turns back on and sync's. The firmware is not updated as the upgrade program never goes onto the next step of sending the firmware file to the router (DUmeter doesn't see any upload traffic either so this is true).

Is there any specific way I should be using the Speedtouch upgrade program? I'm trying to upgrade via ethernet but nothing happens.

This new firmware 6.2.G (or 6.2.16.3) loaded no problem into my 516v6. Another new option has been added into the 'modemoptions' :

{Administrator}[adsl debug]=>modemoptioninfo

modemoption = 00:00:00:00:20:00:00:00:04:00:00:00:00:00:00:00

Well I managed to load it on but I had to use my father's laptop instead. Neither of my LAN ports on my Asus motherboard seemed to connect in Upgrade Mode on the Speedtouch.

well the connection gave up this morning, been synched with a 14db snr target and every week day it has gone through a marginal as the snr fluctuates but held on with moderate errors before bitswapping kicks in but not today.

So added the option and it results seemingly in a higher downstream synch speed, no affect on upstream.

But it also disabled downstream bitswapping the same as 5.4 firmware. The higher synch speed could be different line conditions so rather I see it as a downstream bitswapping toggle switch.

IE7 Login problems were apparantly fixed in the previous 6.2.F firmware (didn't try this myself so can't confirm). It is definately fixed though in 6.2.G.

Cool stuff. Not that it's very important. Now just wondering if it's as stable as 6.1.4.3 has been for me...
