DG834GT used only as a wireless access point

[link to this post]

Can anyone tell me if a Netgear DG834GT router can be used solely as a wireless access point. i.e. turn off DHCP and modem etc but use the wireless to distribute ADSL brought in on another router. (the reason being that I have Sky coming in on a better Draytek but would like better wireless signal upstairs). I've flashed the netgear back to standard firmware.

Yes, switch off NAT and DHCP, give it a fixed IP address and connect it to your router using one of the LAN ports.

this may sound like a stupid question but how do switch off NAT? Do simply mean don;t have any routing going on?
