Hi all,
This morning my wife informs me that the wireless connection died last night and strangely enought we we had a pretty serious lightning storm at the same time.
I have had a look at it, the router is working fine as both a router and I can access the internet via an ethernet connection. The problem I am finding is that the wireless is not working, well it is and it isn't.
The Wi-Fi LED on the front display is a solid amber light which indicates that there is no wireless activity and I am using WEP encryption. On the laptops I can see the access point but can't connect to it. I have rebooted the SpeedTouch a few times and even went as far as to reset the system but this has not resolved the issue.
Do you think that an electrical charge could have affected on particular part of the system board?
Any suggestions on what the problem might be?
If I can't get this working today I need to buy another router/modem. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Many thanks in advance.
