Re: DG834GT No power - Only Port Lights

Further to my post about trying to get the CFE up with a custom made serial circuit, I remember the EEPROM being erased when trying to flash it, and it crashed in the middle with a nice IRQL not less or equal! thanks M$!

I bought a jtag adapter (the universal TIAO parallel port) and even that isnt picking up any CPU and it definately supports it!, and the ethernet IC is burning itself away whilst I attempt to revive it...

I assume theres IC/CPU damage as neither method has worked, so I think its time to buy myself a replacement instead of reviving an already flat-lined donkey...

I have a similar problem with my DG834GT. I have tried the CA-42 cable (5 wire genuine nokia powered from 2xAAA) but I am struggling to get anything other than the Nokia suite to install when the USB is connected. I haven't been able to get a COM port under Windows 7 64bit.

I built a JTAG interface last night and It is detecting the main chipset but all the versions of the tjtag or hairydairymaid software I have tried (Windows and Linux) appear to be having problems with detecting the FLASH and hand while trying to detect it.

Does anyone have JTAG software they know has worked with a DG834GT?

I had managed to get OPEN-WRT installed last weekend but I powered it off overnight and it has not responded since.

Currently the power and tick lights do not come on at all, the port lights do come on and flicker with network traffic. Sometimes on powering up the router one of the port lights will flicker orange v.quickly. Holding the reset button while powering up does not put it in recovery mode. It did as this is the way I got OPEN-WRT onto it in the first place.

Tyfy
