Re: Dual DSL Lines (Bonding Hardware Help)

I've tried everything to try and get this router to balance out, it's always 1.52Mb download so I don't think it'll work for bonding very well. As for setting up rules, I've tried this, too. Unless there are some rules I can download and insert into the router to help, it's just not going to work with what others have said bout bonding abilities.

To effectively use per-packet load balancing, you have to use a multi-threaded source. Try www.speedtest.net as a test because this is multi-threaded.

With the Sharedband service I get 3Mb (on good moments otherwise it's around 2.5Mb and up) now. Happy, but sadly getting a lot of UDP packet loss since this service :/

Not too happy about that.

Hey guys,

I'm pretty sure there is a way to bond together several Internet access lines without getting the ISP involved. I saw a demo of this in at a tradeshow. Search the term "broadband bonding" for more information about the technology and how it works. My understanding is that the bonding technology is implemented in layer 4 and therefore there is no ISP involvement.

Hope this helps!
