It does depend on your line - but a Broadcom chipset transformed things for me! smile

Thanks for your input
I myself at this time are trialling a range of routers and like i do tv's and other av from time to time the difference may appear small but a drop out in a router is the equivalent to your TV picture glitch on free view

It depends on what tuner chip set you have in most cases and how far you are away from the transmitter

One example sumsung and lg tv's glitch in my house badly where as Panasonic and sony don't

Very interesting that routers could be just the same it would be nice if someone here who has the knowledge to compile a list of router brands along with what chip sets they have in them as it would save the public a whole load of time from purchasing the wrong one and having to return it

It seems simple. Broadcom chip is the way to go.

It may seam simple for some but you need to be able to expand on the reason as to why the broadcom chip is better ?

Why, the way these things work is actually very complex. Ultimately it is the performance, rather than the technical reason for the performance that matters. (Given similar costs.)

Had a TG585v7 connected to BE* 53-55dB attenuation and it was not so good. Have had a TG582n for a week and it has been very good. I think my ISP kit in the exchange has a Broadcom chip, so the same brand in the modem may be helping...
