thanks for the advice, I've ordered the voyager and will see if that works, seller suggests it should need no configuration. It's worth a punt for the money, compared to the vigor at £60. Will see how I get on with it.

The 190 IS a router. See here.

If yours is AOL 'locked' then do a Google for 'BT_Voyager_190_fw.bin'. You will then be able to change the VCI etc as the Freeola page correctly states.

I contacted the seller to query if the device was locked, mentioning that I was on BT broadband, and received the following:

as per the listing these are unlocked to all isp's includeing BT

So I'll get it next week and try it out. Fingers crossed.
