Like VPI/VCI. I now have them after emailing my isp.

I have never used the 612 so was not sure if it would be the same UI.

BTW This is the IP for the user interface on this modem http://192.168.1.1 and the one that I did have trouble getting into.

I am now posting this on the HG610 modem. My isp did not support all options on this modem, so had to try things out.

This is the part I am not sure about but the settings on there are what I am using now.

No way can I get 14meg. I think my speed maybe a bit slower on the HG610. May need tweaking as some setting i'm unsure of.

Service Type

It is used to configure the ATM Quality of Service(QoS). When the ATM QoS is set to CBR, rt-VBR or nrt-VBR, you should also configure the Peak rate, which specifies the upstream peak cell rate in cells per second. When the ATM QoS is set to rt-VBR or nrt-VBR, you should also configure the Support rate, which specifies the upstream sustainable cell rate, in cells per second, used for traffic shapping, and Maximum burst value, which specifies the upstream maximum burst size in cells.

Yes just tried it but never taken any notice before. TBH that is a bit above my head as I have not had to do anything like that before.

Rest I have done, other than path0 path1. A bit silly but does affect your connection somehow.

I am following this with interest as I have one of these as well and so far my using it has not been without problems. I am very interested in seeing how you get on and whether or not there are any issues with your HG610.

Telling us which ISP you're with would help.

Doesn't really matter now as I may be moving to fiber in the next few months.

The modem works but if I get fibre, i'm sure most of the setting's will be used. As the HUAWEI HG610 is a VDSL modem, ADSL+2 is not likely to use all the features anyway.

Will see what it's like if/when I get fibre.

Anyone know how to get this modem working with PN fibre? I have entered my login isp details but won't connect. I don't even know what the right setting are or what settings I need to use.

As I said before, I got it working on my old isp but that was ADSL+2.

FTTC uses PTM not ATM. Do you want to set it up as a modem or a modem/router?
