The 7390 also supports Ethernet WAN - so could be used in conjunction with an Openreach modem, and eventually replace the Openreach modem when offically allowed

several ISPs are using routers for ADSL where one of the LAN ports can become the WAN port for fibre, dunno if they're in retail land but Ebay may have some. Technicolor 582n as supplied by Plusnet has very poor wireless. Many people replace them, so they could be floating about.

Uh uh Phil! I was querying the full quote, not the first bit. so could be used in conjunction with an Openreach modem, and eventually replace the Openreach modem when offically allowed. I'm sure you are aware that OR are preparing a compliance plan for ISPs to follow for kit they supply. Whether any will go for the 7390 and get that certified is another matter entirely.

All depends on what firmware updates and whether it gets certified
Vectoring could mean real policing of hardware with msan refusing to talk with kit that does not say it support vectoring at handshake time
