With the new description sounds like port forwarding with the ability to restrict access to certain external IP addresses.

@MrSaffron Yes that's it i want to port foreword but only allow one external ip my sip provider and my other house that has a static ip the problem with normal port forwarding is it opens the port up to everyone this is ok for likes of a web server. but for my server it allows sip scanners other security risks so only allowing access from certain ip's is the only option.
this helps lock down the server and port scanners cant see any service running that is what i am looking to do as Sip voip is not very secure if the port is open......

I am still looking AsusWRT routers don't allow you to port forward from external ip's only Local.

It used to be common to have this option even some of the older cheap TP-LINKS used to allow it but lots of the high end routers don't have this option..

Netgear r8000 also didn't have the option....

The FrizBox i am going to have a look at looks like a nice router but not sure about the wifi performance and i would need the UK model would like to find a source in the uk...some Amazon sellers have it but some buyers are saying its no good for the uk as its for the German market

The new billion 8900 2100 is a good option but its like gold dust...

Going by the manual you can do this on the 8800AXL.

You can create an "Exceptional group rule" where you define a group that contains the IP source addresses that you will allow. Then setup a virtual server rule that allows the specific ports for the "exceptional group".

Page 172/173 of the user manual that you can download from the www.billion.uk.com website for the router.

The main Fritzbox site is here.

There's a list of Fritz dealers here:

I have a feeling that DSL Source may be the only UK dealer still advertising FritzBox on its website. Whilst the Fritz appears to have some good features it is something of a niche market in the UK.

Incidentally the 7490 does have WiFi antennas - they're the spaceship fins on the top of the device. smile

Both Broadband Buyer (9 devices) and CCL (6 devices) have various model Fritz!Box products on their web sites however CCL appears only to carry ADSL rather than VDSL products with most of those shown as out of stock.
