DSL router/modem with easy force/proxy DNS?

[link to this post]

I'm looking for a good DSL modem/router that is compatible with Vodafone 80/20 ADSL2. I'm currently using a hacked OpenReach modem with OpenWRT, however the WiFi isn't great and I cannot get the DNS proxy/overwrite to work as I'd like.

I need to be able to force DNS going through the router/modem to an outside DNS, but manual IP/DNS configurations and smart TV/devices with hardcoded DNS seem to get through the filter.

Is there a good DSL modem/router with easy DNS forced proxy? I have been able to get this to work with my small GL-iNet 4G WLAN router, but not with most other commercial DSL routers/modems.

Thank you!

Just to aid your search, stop looking for ADSL2 modems. It's VDSL2.
