Ayr, Prestwick, Troon - no FTTC date yet...

I 've just noticed that Kilmarnock has finally appeared in the 2012 List, but still no mention of South Ayrshire towns. This seems to suggest that the problem is not the lack of a fibre backbone from Glasgow to Ayrshire. Comments invited!

There is already fibre linking all of the exchanges up, this is how current ADSL services get back to the core network.

There are limits to how many exchanges get announced at any one time, and how many staff are working in each area.

I was under the missconception that the problem was a lack of fibre backhaul capacity from Ayrshire (Kilmarnock, Ayr and surrounding towns), back up to Glasgow.

I guess we just have to wait..........
