Hey guys! PCP 2 had its FTTC cab put in place today! Surprised BT did it on a Sunday!

Might have been a contractor rather the BT OR.

Certainly a lot of the "heavy" work on "my" FTTC was done by Kelly.


BT OR did the relatively fine work; and were much less "visible" than Kelly.

Not to sure there was a pick up truck like van on Saturday with two young men drilling holes for power and digging up holes for ducting. Then yesterday there was a plain lorry delivering the Fttc cab. There was another van but I couldn't tell from a distance. Sorry

It was a local Civils company that did mine, not BT. They also had the certification and run the power in at the same time and did. Fibre Ducting and cabling was run on Friday ( EO lines) again by another Civils company ( Morrisons and Avonline)
Ive heard Openreach generally only do the final fibre blowing, splicing and jumpering.

Hell yeah, though mainly the customer facing, fault fixing brigade.

And don't forget Sundays, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day and other public holidays.

If there are any form of street works or traffic interruption, the local council might be more flexible with timing if it's on a Sunday. In any event, all this stuff is done by contractors. With the pressure on time-scales with BDUK it might well be a lot of overtime is being earned.

My PCP is also being upgraded but I don't feel the need to post about it on a daily basis.
