Superfast Essex has rolled out its first WTTC implementation in Broxted. It's reporting it as a great success, which I suppose it is, although the area is hardly very rugged terrain or a vast distance from the exchange.
That's certainly saved some digging up of narrowish lanes for sure, and I presume it's a good deal cheaper than laying duct and fibre.
My questions:
G.fast - is that ever going to work over WTTC?
Are there likely to be capacity issues?
Will there be any opportunity to extend from the cabinet with fibre (ie FTToD)?
What's the maximum speed over WTTC with a " small football-sized transmitter dish"?
