In reply to a post by WilliamGrimsley:
Thanks for confirmation. It would be silly for router manufacturers to still be using Lantiq or similar chipsets.
There is broad agreement that Broadcom chipsets with reasonably recent firmware blobs perform well against both makes of DSLAM found in the Openreach network and are a particularly good match for the Broadcom based Huawei DSLAMs. However, that does not mean that other vendor's chipsets are incapable of performing well on the Openreach network (some highly regarded devices, such as Draytek's Vigor 130 modem bridge, do not use Broadcom), or that the apparent superiority of Broadcom based CPE translates to other VDSL2 networks.

The router manufacturers serve a far broader market than the UK.

Well I think it's been enabled as I have had a resync (or couple) at about 5:30 this morning and now my stats are..

Connection Speed 79999 kbps 19999 kbps
Line Attenuation 14.5 dB 0.0 dB
Noise Margin 6.8 dB 15.15 dB

The latency has not increased at all either if anything it's 1ms lower.

Took 9 days from going live to G.INP (if enabled)

I would say yes if the line was in a fastpath state, but we can't confirm this without a modem using a BDCM chipset with detailed line stats.

IIRC from mine, if that's the ZyXel modem/router then the full stats using telnet in a command line window will make the activation or not of G.INP clear.

Again from memory, xdslctl info --stats

Or connect the ZyXel some time for an hour or so.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk. Domains, site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - AAISP Home::1 80/20. Sync 64513/13170Kbps @ 600m. BQMs - IPv4 & IPv6
