Lease line reasonable install timescale?

[link to this post]

Are there Ofcom rules on how long an ISP can take to install a lease line?

We signed a contract with an ISP to install a 30/30 lease line on 27th Dec 2017 and to date (29 May 2018) it still is not active. This is 5 months (105 working days) since we're ordered!

The delay is apparently between the ISP and their data-centre.

Getting the line into our building was simple and was completed by Openreach on 30th Jan 2018.

Appreciate any comments.

Don't believe Ofcom would be involved. You need to look at contract law and what they contracted to do. Are they breaking contract? If so then follow normal legal routes.

If it is their end then is there a cancellation clause you can follow and then sign up with an ISP that doesn't have problems in their own data centre? Perhaps if they have such an issue getting lines into their data centre then it suggests they may not be the best ISP.

Thanks ian72 - I'm thinking best to stay with them now as I'm told activation is imminent, just hoping their ongoing service is better than this!
