We're so far at 11 months of our FTTPoD installation and I think we're now approaching the end! BT today came and installed these on two poles about 1km apart. Is this a new fibre manifold? I can't find any pictures on google of this particular unit?

Thanks, that's strange! I wonder what it is then...! The fibre cable is definitely the one running into it. As we just have the fibre from the pole to the house to go, I wondered whether this was it but if it's not that I guess there is some work to go!

Yep, look like track nodes. Joints en route to somewhere.

I see, I guess there's still a bit to go then before we're finally connected. Thanks for clarifying.

The last pole to the property will get a manifold on it, and actually connecting your home to this only happens when you order the service and pick what speed/price you want to pay

This is the last pole which is why I thought it may be the manifold. I guess the manifold therefore is added when OR come and connect the house to it. This is the DP for the 6 buildings in our rural hamlet. The service was all ordered last October so hopefully that will happen soon!

The manifold is added prior to you ordering the service on a normal FTTP build, but as this is Fibre on Demand you have already ordered service so things may be a bit different.
There is a chance that this build is for some FTTP further down the road.

Picture2: There's a small CBT on the opposite side of the pole to the copper DP - you can see it if you enlarge the photo
