Re: CFP vs FTTPod deployment methods

If you we took the hopeful conclusion some have, then the first BDUK VDSL2 cabinet would have fully paid for the creation of a fibre handover nodes on an exchange and the creation of the AG node that a VDSL2 cabinets point to point fibres are arriving from.

BDUK works on a per premises basis, so the invoicing can be fairly complex.

Until folk get firm FTTPoD quotes (ie based on actual survey) its just pure speculation as to what they will be charged. FWIW my neighbour 2 doors down has the DP from my FTTPoD install almost located on his doorstop yet Cerberus quoted him £21000 for FTTPoD a couple of months go. Make of that what you will...

In reply to a post by olicuk:
For me I'm 99% sure it would need only a 300m 4port CBT installed in the existing duct to get FTTP after the recent BDUK deployment which included a DP about 10m from mine... so splitters and fibre back to the AG node all in place already. If I were to order then I'd only be expecting to be quoted for this fairly simple install of the CBT to the splitter.... not part paying for the infrastructure in place to the exchange.

Have you put in for a desktop quote? If not, you might as well. It's free.
