FTTP

I read and learn lots on this forum but didn't know the actual fibre cable wasn't taken from the nearest cabinet until reading another post on here tonight.

Where does the fibre cable come from before it gets to our premises.

Apologies for the "Newbie" question but.....

If you don't ask... laugh

An aggregation node, which is in a chamber underground and reaches there from a handover exchange

Assuming we are talking Openreach FTTP of course

To flesh out Mr.Saffrons reply ...

Head end/exchange ... aggregation node ... splitter node ... DP node (sometimes, but not always) ... manifold or CBT ... (CSP sometimes) ... ONT
