At Last Pt the conclusion

just in case anybody is wondering what the outcome of my previous post was here goes.

As I said in the previous post problem after problem plagued my move to BT from waitrose, but I now have FTTH after the e-mail to the CEO and the executive level complaints team getting involved. to date I have had five different install dates and was finally live on the 11th Jan. Without any warning an OR engineer turned up on the 31 Dec but couldnt climb the pole to plug in the fibre to the manifold as they have to have a second person for "safety"
he asked for someone to come along and then sat for more than four hours waiting for assistance!!!!! then gave up and went home. I must congratulate him though as the next day he returned and fed the fibre through the duct under the lawn leaving coils at each end one of which I threaded through the loft and house to the cupboard in the hall. On the 11th Jan another three OR engineers turned up to climb the pole and connect the fibre to the manifold and to do the connection to the ONT. I now have FTTH at 148Mbps down and 31 up which is a bit different from the previous 3.5 down and 1 up. Bliss. But it shouldnt have taken all this time and the complaints team to intervene.
Just got to wait now for the reward card from BT and the Quidco cashback which I admit is the reason I upgraded as the website screen prices are far too high.

When the first change from waitrose to BT adsl broadband took place I lost my waitrose e-mail address which I had been assured I could keep, it has only just been restored as in an e-mail they said it could be kept then changed there mind but as they had said it could be kept they honoured there pledge and reinstated it for no charge. Well done Waitrose for doing what you promised not well done BT for taking so long and making a dogs breakfast of the whole order.
Hopefully I wont have to ask for advise from here for a long time and thanks for all the help.

Ironically, I discovered my computer has a 100Mbps network card but SWMBO has a 1G card
