Already are some with Sky in FTTP areas, suspect just existing customers moving to new fibre only areas, or are just staff

shocking it's taken the 2nd largest ISP in the UK half a decade to get onboard with GEA-FTTP. how does that even happen?

I have 2 friends who are currently on Sky FTTC, and are moving to a new development which is FTTP, I am going to ask them about what Sky have offered (if anything).
Be interesting to find out.
CJT.
On BT Broadband up to 55 Mbps
Previously on NOW TV Broadband up to 38 Mbps

Probably not worth the bother - until recently there weren't that many fttp lines.

Heard that where?
It certainly doesn't show available in any FTTP only areas, and isn't offered by default to existing customers who move to FTTP only areas.
They may offer it to some specific existing customers who who move to an FTTP only area as part of a trial, but even that's just speculation.

Ispreview 'news' articles usually fall into one of two categories, press releases and the owner's opinion. This is opinion.
Although it is a fair bet that sooner or later all providers will need to offer full fibre and gfast services in order to stay relevant.

From friends who have moved to FTTP only houses and have Sky Broadband.

Are you sure there not on sky/TT's UFO rollout? (ultrafibreoptic.co.uk)
|
|
|
Based on the locations I see the tests in - am sure its not USO - which is easy as that is just York. Also service characteristics are very different.

|
|

The one I remember was the UFO and Derby areas rather than Openreach FTTP
