FTTP soon?

[link to this post]

Hi,

The block of flats where I live has exchange only lines, so we have been unable to get any sort of fibre connection so far. But I happened to check the Openreach website today and I was pleasantly surprised to see it say: "Good news - we’ll be upgrading your area to Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) soon" (screenshot: https://ibb.co/J36dD3r). My question now is how soon is soon? Does anyone have insight on that?

Thanks.

Anywhere from a few months to over a year.

Also depends if it's part of the Fibre First commercial rollout or publicly funded work.

What exchange is it?

edit: I'm slow
edit: can't read either

In your case this is rural so part of the North Yorks BDUK process which keeps adding bits of FTTP so probably a case of a wait

Time scale of other poster stands, not on the announced list of Fibre First exchanges, but there is building going on in some urban exchanges that are not part of the Fibre First programme.

You forgot to add that they will start work and leave cables around for a year plus - not that i'm not blaming anyone at OR just saying what i've seen and yet other areas have had a complete fttp install within weeks. So it can vary.
