I've been left with two BT NTEs at home in the past and they seem to have no interest in retrieving them when the service ceases. I suspect they factor the entire cost of the equipment into the first year's contract.

First year they make you pay for it through ECCs....after a 3 year contract its a written down any way. Skip job or fleabay then.

If you want to get rid of them your provider can raise a request with Openreach to come and pick them up.
