FTTC - Availability - Waiting List - Additional capacity??

A family member currently has ADSL and looking to change provider when her price increases from £8.99 per month to around £20 per month.

She would like to go for FTTC services, but on checking availability it shows that there is a waiting list for FTTC service - using the website https://www.dslchecker.bt.com/

Does anyone know if there are any other websites or ways we can check how long it is likely to be before additional capacity is added to this cabinet ? - She wants to get transferred over before services increase in price.

If you post the line above the table of results for that phone number, (blanking out the phone number of course), then there are a few people on these forums who may be able to help.

The exchange and cabinet number being the important data.

"Exchange MORECAMBE is served by Cabinet 11"

Seems the original cabinet is at capacity. A new cabinet is due to be installed in the new year

Thank you for the confirmation. Do you have any idea when that may take place.

I found a website that gave more information but it just said additional capacity due by August 2020 - which is a long time off.
