Interesting new street cabinet installed nearby

Could anyone advise what this new piece of equipment is?

It's recently appeared nearby and has a triple underground chamber in front of it.

My exchange is not listed as FTTP or part of any known roll out of FTTP services.

It doesn't appear to be Openreach.

Is there any lettering on the chamber covers?

Are there any nearby tall towers/masts?

Any significant roadworks?

Any recent planning permissions for the postcode on the local council website?

Yes the markings on the cabinet and street chamber are OFNL, but I think the O has an i in the middle of it.

The labels state the company is Intergrated Fibre Networks Limited.

There are no mobile phone masts nears this street box, there is going to be a new housing estate up the road that is currently going through some planning processes, but that would an Openreach build as the developer is a Openreach exclusive partner.

It's on a junction of a road, but it's the only one in the village that I've seen.

INFL have partnered up with one the the local housing associations in my area to provide fibre services to their new developments. I'm not sure what deal they got which would be better that Openreach apart from being able to offer Sky Q on the network via one of their resellers.

From IFNL contractor docs, it appears to be "On Site Convergence Point". For what it's worth.

"OSCP Definition: The ‘On Site Convergence Point’ (‘OSCP’) is the name assigned to the building, street side cabinet or room, together with the collection of equipment placed within it, which is required to enable provision of fibre services to your site."

With Sky over the fibre, it is easier for covenants for owners to NOT allowed satellite dishes and TV aerials on the outside of properties.

In terms of deal, as the OFNL locations are usually lock outs for Openreach and Virgin Media the deal might have been better than free.
