FTTP plans

[link to this post]

Hi folks,

I hope you are all safe and well?

I’ve just checked the ope reach website to see when FTTP is coming to me. According to Openteach, they ‘don’t have any plans to upgrade your area right now’.

How can I find out when they might plan FTTP?

Is there a website that shows which towns have FTTP and which ones are planned?

My exchange (Aylesbury) shows in Samknows that some areas have FTTP, but not which areas.

Can anyone provide a link?

Thanks

https://labs.thinkbroadband.com/local/broadband-map#... map showing where Openreach FTTP is currently available in Aylesbury

The Openreach website under its Fibre First pages how lists of places they are building to or plan to in the next 12 months. Brain does not recall Aylesbury being on the list.

Thankyou Mr Saffron.

Aylesbury has some FTTP areas but not many. I wish BT Openreach would publish a roadmap of where/when it is being installed 😳

I've had the same problem, I've emailed Openreach a couple of times and just get the same "no plans" response, follow-up emails are not answered.

There is FTTP being installed by OR nto houses approx. 100m from my road, plus another small install a few hundred metres in the other direction, but still no plans for my immediate area. But still nothing at all about where I live.

They are doing that with the fibre first and the larger rural builds. The problems with rolling out fttp to an area, is far more complex than FTCC, so they are unwilling to go any further than that. The BDUK and future government schemes will never show up on the map but will just say fttp is coming soon.

FTTP rollout delays are real and frustrating.
