FTTP now avail... footway turnkey install?

[link to this post]

Hey guys,

After a few years of no FTTP due to armoured cables, I seen OR a few weeks ago down the manholes in my area. Now FTTP is available with this information:

Single Dwelling Unit Residential Northern Ireland only footway turnkey install.

Anyone know what it means?

Having had a quick google it sounds like its a Civies term for installing blown fibre tubing through underground ducting using the footway boxes near your property.

Get that FTTP order placed!

Ah ok - Its just when Openreach told me in May when they skipped my street due to armoured leads - which would mean there is no duct to my home?

Ive contacted the case manager who i spoke to last May regarding it

Sounds like they would install subduct when orders are placed, Do you have a 'green' verge and/or a front garden that is easy to dig. (As opposed to tarmac or concrete )

Thats an image of my street. Other homes who don't have the armoured lead-ins the checker now states UG premises served by 1 Inch duct 100.

All have a 1 stage install

Hi, first time poster, long time lurker ....’turnkey’ is a phrase used by Openreach to signify that the work is to be done by a contractor rather than direct labour.
