FTTP Identification

[link to this post]

Hi there All,
I wonder if anyone can help, I have just moved into a new house in Knaresborough in North Yorkshire, outside my front door approx 2m away is a telegraph pole, that has a sign on it saying Caution Overhead Fibre.

On the pole is a box at the top and I'm trying to identify who's FTTP fibre it is, that's assuming it is FTTP, BT say i can only get superfast 1/2 but this looks like FTTP.

Openreach don't have it on their and I have tried the usual suspects ALT Nets but wondered if any wise people on here would know.

I have put a link to the photos below.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Q3jEtxVJ7GRdo1W5NHw... https://drive.google.com/file/d/1VZ6Z_LYhMEHxdSobbRY...

Hope someone can help.

Kind Regards

looks like just a standard junction box for copper phone lines so not a connector block for fibre, sorry

a fibre connector look like the one on the right

Weird that the pole has the yellow fibre overheat sticker tho, maybe they just slap them on all the poles.

If you look carefully you can see the fibre optic warning symbol on the front of the hinged lid (bottom middle). The fibre is coiled behind the box. So it is a fibre termination, splitter or splice box of some description

Edit. - I’d say it’s a HellermannTyton AFN (Aerial Fibre Node):

There’s two dots shown in the TBB map outside a TW development for OFNL

It won’t be Openreach gear. It will be an AltNet. Although they may use their poles for access
